Visma acquires Khonraad—a Dutch social care platform serving municipalities in the Netherlands

Visma, an established leader in business-critical software for private enterprises and public organisations in the Nordics, Baltics and Benelux, acquires Khonraad, a leading provider of mission-critical services focused on automation of workflows within social care in the Netherlands.

Visma has grown rapidly in the Dutch market with a number of acquisitions over the last few years, now earning about €350 million in revenue and employing over 2 000 people in the highly strategic region. By acquiring Khonraad, Visma continues its advancement in the Netherlands, strengthening its position in the European market.

“We are very pleased that Khonraad has decided to join the Visma family. The partnership with Khonraad gives us a great opportunity to enter into the social and health care domain. We also see substantial possibilities for cooperation especially with Visma Roxit and Visma Circle in the (semi-) governmental domain as Khonraad has an extensive customer base of municipalities and healthcare providers”, says Carsten Boje Møller, Division Director of Visma Custom Solutions.

"We are excited to have found just the right home, in Visma, for all the people that matter to us – a very strong and capable partner, a people-centric employer and, most importantly, a safe pair of hands for the welfare of the people whose rights are protected by our products", says Toine Khonraad, founder and MD of Khonraad Software Engineering B.V.

Khonraad will join Visma’s Custom Solutions Division alongside Visma Connect, Visma Roxit, Visma Plusport and Visma Circle, and will strengthen Visma’s presence in the Netherlands within the e-government space.
