Visma strengthens position in Dutch GovTech through acquisition of P8 Software

Visma has acquired GovTech specialist P8 Software, further strengthening its position as a key software provider for government organisations in the Netherlands.

P8’s cloud solutions support water boards, municipalities, provinces, grid managers, nature organisations and national government organisations in managing transactions, relationships, buying and selling processes, and contracts around plots of land and objects.

Given the increasingly complex regulations for public space, P8 sees significant opportunities for growth, especially in connection with basic registrations and ground leases in larger municipalities.

“We have developed a market-leading system to simplify the administrative complexity combined with a geographical interface. Now that we’re part of Visma, we see great opportunities to also enter new markets related to regulations on public land”, says Eric Heersink, founder and managing director of P8.

Through companies like Visma Circle, Visma Roxit, iAsset, Nazca Solutions and Genetics, Visma already serves a large number of Dutch government organisations and supply chain partners with standardised cloud solutions for the design and management of the physical environment.

“As Visma, we want to simplify complex processes through automation. The legislation surrounding the public sector is complex, and the registration obligation is only increasing. P8 Software offers a great platform to simplify compliance, and fits well with Visma companies serving organisations in the physical domain", says John Reynders, Visma’s Area Director for Benelux.

About P8 Software
Eric Heersink and Wouter Rootmensen acquired P8 in 2017 and began to further develop and market the cloud software for managing transactions, relationships, buying and selling processes, and contracts around plots of land and properties. The basis of this application is the cooperation between two water boards and Heersink, who worked within the land and property department of Waterschap Rijn en IJssel in Doetinchem. Over the past two years, the company has experienced rapid growth. More information: www.p8.nl/
