Visma expands public SaaS offering with acquisition of Identum

Visma has acquired Identum, a leading provider of identity and access management software (IAM) to Norway’s educational and public sector.

Identum’s portfolio of SaaS-based IAM solutions enable efficient user account provisioning, access management and digital workflows across all connected systems.

Easily accessible from anywhere through the cloud, Identum’s solutions provide a high degree of automation and direct user control, limiting the need for external consultants and keeping costs down.

“With its proven track record of developing excellent, cost-efficient products based on modern technology, Identum has built a solid base of satisfied customers, especially within the public sector. As a part of Visma, they will be able to further improve their offerings to existing customers, and also pursue new growth in the private segment”, says Stian Svendsen, managing director of Visma Enterprise.

More than 500.000 users

Identum’s flagship IAM solution eAdm is used by more than 120 Norwegian municipalities and health care companies for all their user management needs.

In total, more than 500.000 students and faculty in close to 2.000 schools use Identum’s eFeide solution to access their FEIDE accounts, Norway’s chosen solution for secure identification in the education sector.

Identum will continue to operate as an independent company, under the same management.

“It will mostly be business as usual here in Bergen. At the same time we are proud to become a part of the Visma family, and highly excited by the new opportunities this will bring for Identum. As part of one of Europe’s leading software companies, we will gain access to a larger base of resources and infrastructure that can accelerate our development and growth”, says Manuel Fraga, CTO and co-founder of Identum.
