Valmet’s Tubel evaporator is a superb solution in applications where the risk of scaling is high. In a Tubel evaporator, liquor is evaporated on the outside of tubes. The rounded surface and the wide distance between the tubes gives the Tubel evaporators very high availability.

More energy from the recovery boiler

Higher liquor dry solids enable higher production of steam in the recovery boiler. Valmet’s Super Concentration system with Internal Liquor Heat Treatment is a reliable and value-adding concept for pulp mills.

Tubel Evaporators

Valmet’s well-proven Tubel design has been shown to provide greater availability in high dry solids or scaling applications.

Valmet Tube Evaporator

Our tubular falling film evaporator is well proven and mechanically reliable. It provides a smaller footprint and excellent condensate segregation.

Valmet Vapor Recycling

Valmet’s Vapor Recycling can help save high pressure steam. The innovative vapor recycling concept makes it possible to evaporate to high dry solids using only LP steam. High pressure steam can be saved for other uses in the mill.

Valmet MVR Evaporators

MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) is a good way to improve the mill’s overall steam economy and condensate segregation. Valmet’s MVR evaporators are optimized for minimum fan power, which lowers the operating cost.

High-performance condensate handling

Valmet Evaporation plants can be designed to produce condensates that can be completely reused in the mill. This greatly reduces the mill’s consumption of fresh water.

The BioCMPC project – A leap in sustainability and operational efficiency

LD Celulose’s new mill meets the needs for sustainable dissolving pulp

LD Celulose’s new mill in the Triângulo Mineiro region, Brazil, is one of the largest dissolving pulp mills in the world. The mill was started up in April 2022 and is setting new productivity and energy efficiency standards.

The future of the bioindustry

Project Star is one of the largest private investments in Brazil in the last 20 years, and it has made Bracell the largest producer of dissolving pulp in the world. The mill runs without any fossil fuels and can produce up to three million tonnes of kraft pulp per year.
