Frequently asked questions

Does the Stockholm data center re use waste heat?

In partnership with Sweden’s energy provider, Stockholm Exergi, the atNorth SWE01 campus captures the heat outputs generated by the site’s data halls, recycling all residual heat through the district heating plant to provide heat and hot water for local residents.

Are the powers costs in Sweden high?

Sweden also has one of the lowest energy prices in Europe, in addition to being run almost entirely on fossil-free energy, making it a very attractive location.

Is Stockholm well connected to mainland Europe?

Stockholm is a data center hub for the Nordic countries of Europe, with 55% of total Nordic internet traffic flowing through the city. It is the largest colocation market in the region, with 125+ active network providers.
