𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝! 𝐓𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐩𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬! 💪 🔧 Ready to roll up our sleeves and get started, Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by Equinor to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant and lower the environmental impact of the Mongstad refinery on the west coast of Norway. Mongstad plays an important role in the distribution of Norwegian oil and gas, with a long production horizon ahead.         The project will require a wide range of our expertise as solutioneers. Aker Solutions will be in charge of project management, engineering, procurement, construction, installation work, and commissioning in what’s known as an EPCIC-contract.   Equinor’s goal is to reduce emissions significantly from the Mongstad refinery. This aligns with our strategy to help our customers increase efficiency, reduce emissions in their operations, and ensure safe and responsible production. The project will start right away and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.  We’re looking forward to continue our close collaboration with Equinor!  Read more in today’s press release in the first comment👇

Breaking 3D printing news!🖥🔧 We are thrilled to announce a significant step forward in additive manufacturing within our industry!   Aker Solutions, together with Aker BP ASA and Additech AS, is launching a state-of-the-art 3D printing facility at our Stord yard. 🏗   The AM Centre of Excellence is particularly aimed at the extensive Aker BP portfolio but will also serve other projects in the future.   This cutting-edge facility will help mitigate risks and prevent delays in critical supply chains, while also enabling the creation of complex designs. Key benefits include:   ➡️ Reduced lead times ➡️ Lower procurement and supply chain costs ➡️ Improved on-site productivity ➡️ Lower CO2 emissions   We’ll create part designs in response to daily operational challenges, such as operators needing a custom-fitted part during installation work. At Stord, we’ll use industrial 3D printers for plastics, while in Bergen, Additech AS will handle metal printing, ensuring high-quality production and compliance. It is a great example of how companies within the Aker family collaborate to reshape the future of manufacturing and continue to push the boundaries of what's possible! 🚀

𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 – 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭-𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠! This year, Aker Solutions, along with Cognite, TESS as, and Createc, kicked off Norwegian spring cleaning by introducing Aker Solutions' first "Robot Garden"!  Robot Garden is an interactive test- and training location for industry robotics at our Fornebu location in Oslo, Norway. The 'garden' is a place where companies can try out autonomous robotics in a safe setting before launching new products. Check out some video highlights from the opening ceremony below! “This is a sneak peek into what the future of industry will look like, with robots and humans working hand in hand. These robots aren't just gadgets; they're future teammates, and they need us to teach them the “know-hows”, and our expertise”, said Tonje Brenna, minister of labour and social inclusion in Norway.  "Aker Solutions aims to be a leader in digitalization and robotics. We believe that by combining these technologies, we can help our customers make hazardous areas safer, allowing for unmanned or low-manned installations. By teaming up with Cognite, we can create solutions that offer new insights and recommendations for customers and industries alike", said Signy Elde Vefring, executive vice president of Digitech at Aker Solutions.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐲𝐝𝐚, 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞🤩 🎞️💪 Gyda was once a huge oil and gas platform, with a total weight of 29,000 tonnes. Soon most of it will be recycled. Taking apart an oil and gas platform is no easy task and requires meticulous engineering and planning. Recently we removed a 2000 tonne module from the main structure, using pull force and explosives.🧨This is an efficient and safe method to get the structures down to the ground within reach of the large cutting machines. The Gyda Decommissioning project is a gigantic recycling project, consisting of large quantities of valuable materials that are in high demand on the world market. There is a need for more construction materials. Also, the production of reused steel, copper, aluminum and other materials emits far less CO2 than the production of new materials. Once the project is complete, we expect that around 98 percent of Gyda has been recycled.♻️

𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭! 🎯 💪 No Monday morning blues over at Aker Solutions as we are awarded a solid contract from OKEA ASA for the Brasse tieback project in the North Sea.  Brasse is an oil and gas field located 13 kilometers south of the Brage platform where production started in 1993.  Brasse will be developed as a subsea tieback, and our job is to prepare the topside of the platform for receiving oil and gas from the Brasse field. It’s  an EPCIC-contract, which means engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning. The project is also a great example of teamwork! When we work as an integrator in projects alongside OKEA, OneSubsea and Subsea7, we’ve shown that we can find feasible solutions to maximize the utilization of resources in mature areas.  We’re looking forward to continue our close collaboration with OKEA, helping the company achieve their strategic goals of exploring in areas near existing infrastructure. Sustainable fish farming: from sea to plate   By 2050, it’s estimated that ten billion people will live on this planet, requiring a 50% increase in food production. 🌏   Despite 70% of earth’s surface being covered by water, surprisingly only 2% of the food we eat stems from the ocean. So, why not just catch more fish? Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. 🎣   Fish production from wild catches is already at its limit and the world’s lakes and oceans are being exploited to their maximum. 🌊   So, what’s the solution?    Well, one means to feed an ever-increasing population in a more sustainable way is aquaculture, also known as offshore fish farming. But to scale the industry whilst ensuring fish welfare comes with some challenges that we at Aker Solutions were eager to solve with the help of Siemens.💡🤝   Read the article below to discover how we used Siemens’ Simcenter™ STAR-CCM+™ technology to design offshore fish farms that could not only withstand the roughest seas, but also cater for more healthy living conditions for fish. 🐟   #aquaculture #offshorefishfarming https://lnkd.in/ezvjZyWE
