Visma accelerates innovation in France with the acquisition of tech leader MyCompanyFiles

Visma's growth in the French market continues with third acquisition so far in 2024.

Visma announces the acquisition of MyCompanyFiles, a prominent French platform specialising in secure document and information exchange for accounting firms. This is Visma's third strategic acquisition in France in 2024, further solidifying its position as an ambitious market challenger in the French accounting and professional services sectors.

"We are delighted to welcome MyCompanyFiles to the Visma family and continue our rapid growth in the French market. We want to be the preferred provider of smart, efficient and secure software to accounting firms in France, and this is another important step on that journey”, says Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma.

MyCompanyFiles is renowned for its secure and user-friendly platform that facilitates seamless document and data sharing between businesses and their clients, ensuring GDPR compliance.

"MyCompanyFiles has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of organisations managing extensive document and data exchanges. Joining Visma enables us to enhance our offerings and expand our reach, driving digital transformation for our clients", says Charles-Olivier Diebold, CEO of MyCompanyFiles.

Joining a group of 180+ companies

MyCompanyFiles’ further growth will be supported by Visma and its highly tech-oriented organisation, rooted in its significant expertise in cybersecurity and new technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning. The partnership will enable MyCompanyFiles to leverage Visma's financial capacity and vast resources, benefiting from the backing of a group with over 180 companies.

"We are ecstatic about collaborating with Visma, a forward-thinking organisation that shares our commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions. This move will allow us to continue to be at the centre of data and document flows and simplify exchanges between our customers and their customers" added Diebold.

MyCompanyFiles will continue to operate with its current management team, maintaining its commitment to openness and strong partnerships within the industry. The platform will remain a versatile solution, providing customers with flexibility to choose the best tools for their operations.

Accelerating growth

Visma first entered France through the acquisition of cloud accounting provider Inqom in 2022, with an ambition to build a comprehensive suite of products that significantly enhance productivity and efficiency for accounting firms and other professional services.

This process has accelerated in 2024, with accounting software provider Chaintrust and tax filing solutions expert Teledec both joining Visma in January.

After the addition of MyCompanyFiles, Visma expects revenue from its French operations to surpass 25 million euros in 2024, and targets continued growth in the coming years.
