Etteplan Oyj, Web release, May 6, 2025
Technology service company Etteplan continues its collaboration with the Women in Tech Finland community. Etteplan has been an active member of Women in Tech Finland for several years, and this membership underscores the company’s commitment to promoting diversity and equality in the technology sector. It also supports Etteplan’s efforts to attract and retain top talent in the field. Through this collaboration, Etteplan can offer its employees and the broader community opportunities to learn, network, and be inspired.
Women in Tech is one of Finland’s largest technology communities, with a mission to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry. The organization provides women with opportunities to participate, gain recognition, and advance their careers in tech. Currently, only about 20% of tech professionals in Finland are women. This underrepresentation is a persistent challenge in the field, and Women in Tech Finland is actively working to change this by encouraging women to enter the industry and supporting their professional growth.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion at the core of Etteplan’s Sustainability Agenda and company culture
In a double materiality analysis conducted in 2024, Etteplan identified “equal treatment and opportunities for all” as a key focus area of its sustainability program. Etteplan is committed to promoting diversity, treating all employees fairly, and ensuring non-discriminatory practices throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are essential parts of Etteplan’s culture and success. Within the company, these themes are also championed by the community-driven Happy DEIs initiative.
Currently, approximately 25% of Etteplan’s workforce are women. One of the central goals of Etteplan’s Sustainability Agenda is to enhance workplace diversity, with a specific aim to increase the number of women at the company. Progress is measured by comparing the percentage of women at Etteplan to the share of women holding degrees in science and technology in the company’s operating countries. Etteplan also actively fosters equity and inclusion within its workforce, aiming to reach a score of at least 4 out of 5 in the company’s internal Equity and Inclusion Index, measured in the FuturETTE employee survey. The partnership with Women in Tech Finland is one concrete action contributing to the achievement of these goals.
