Bong Packaging Systems expands business with Åland Post – a 2nd packaging machine to be installed
Åland Post has decided to further expand with the help of Bong, by installing a 2nd System Packaging machine as supplied by Bong Packaging Systems, a business area within Bong’s packaging unit; Bong Packaging Solutions.
Developing a good working relationship over time Bong today not only supports Åland Post with packaging machines, but also with Propac products for their mailing and packaging needs as well as ColdSeal material to be used in the Systems Packaging machines. Bong is a natural partner for Åland Post to continue their growth in the business of supporting e-businesses with the packaging-services they need.
Åland Post is a modern logistics enterprise with around 235 employees with a turnover of 43,6 million euro in 2012. The business headquarters is located in Sviby, Jomala, only a few kilometres outside Mariehamn, the only town in Åland. Since 1 January 2009, Åland Post is a limited company owned solely by the Åland Landskapsregering, the Government of Åland.

The first System Packaging machine from Bong Packaging Systems, Model 9000-18 was installed Åland Post in November 2012 and the new machine, a Model 9000-24-5 is due to be installed in August 2013. Both machines use ColdSeal Kraft corrugated material, but can also run with alternative materials such as ColdSeal Bubble, ColdSeal Film and ColdSeal Poly paper.
